Introduction to Japan




We begin our unit on Japan with a short Multimedia presentation (Osaka). The presentation covered key aspects of Japan: culture, government, tourist sites, economy, geography, history, attractions, flag, food, population, religion, and languages spoken, etc. During the DVD presentation students had to take notes and afterwards answer questions on what they learned about Japan.

China Poster Presentation


































The students created a poster that illustrated the key facts of China: culture, government, maps, economy, attractions, flag, food, population, religion, and languages spoken, etc. Once complete they had to present it through a role play, game, song, etc. Such projects are an excellent way of developing public speaking and interpersonal skills along with expanding ones knowledge of the world. This presentation was very well done.

Introduction to China





We begin our unit on China with a short Multimedia presentation on the country. Philippines DVD













The students created a travel DVD about the Philippines. They had to use their notes and the Internet to illustrate key points (culture, government, maps, economy, attractions, flag, food, population, religion, and languages spoken) about the Philippines.

Taj Mahal Model


















































The students created a model of the Taj Mahal. When completed they had to discuss its history, development, and importance to India tourism through a role play, game, song, etc. Such projects are an excellent way of developing public speaking and interpersonal skills along with expanding ones knowledge of the world. Petronas Towers - Malaysia
























The students had to create a model of a Malaysia’s Petronas Towers. Once complete they had to present their model through a role play, game, song, etc. Such practical work is not only an excellent way of learning about famous landmarks and expanding one’s knowledge of the world, but a key way of developing public speaking and interpersonal skills. Good job by all!
